Do you hear wedding bells?

The holidays have come and gone, the decorations have been safely packed away for another year, and the cookies we indulged in have inspired us to diet–at least we would like to think we will diet. It’s one of those New Year’s resolutions that is all too easily broken. It’s January after all. It’s cold outside and exercising and dieting seem like warm weather ideas. So it’s a bit surprising during this cold time of the year that our thoughts are already turning to spring and to weddings.

Does your house have potential?

Recently I was talking to my sister-in-law about the house that she and her husband are hoping to purchase. I had just seen some pictures of the place and had remarked that the house had a lot of potential. My sister-in-law responded with a laugh, “yes, it has a lot of potential!”

What’s in a name?

You may be wondering how we got the name Cloudland Paintworks. After all, it’s not the easiest name to remember. Truth is we wanted to create a name for our company that would reflect what we do (painting) and link it in some way to where we live (Cloudland Road in North Haven). But we also liked the story behind how our road got it’s name. (more…)
