We are members of the PDCA, the Painting and Decorating Contractors of America that offers continuing educational opportunities and sets national painting standards. Our CEO Ray Sola is the Vice President of the New England Council of the PDCA and has played a leadership role in this organization since 2004.

PDCA is the only trade association dedicated to the success of painting and decorating contractors. Nearly 2,000 contractors in America and Canada are proud members of this organization founded in 1884. PDCA is recognized and supported by many industry manufacturers and suppliers as the premier organization committed to helping painting and decorating contractors improve their business.

There are over 3,000 painters in Connecticut but only 1%, less than 30 painters, are currently members of PDCA.

He founded Cloudland Paintworks in 2004 to provide quality residential interior and exterior painting and restoration work. Ray continues to seek out new technical techniques and educate his staff to stay at the top of their game and to provide customers with unparalleled service. Ray’s continuing goals are to provide excellence in service, bring high quality and value to his customers, and to be an outstanding leader in his field. He is the President-Elect of the New England Council of the PDCA, Painting and Decorating Contractors of America and is a member of the Business Network International, Hamden chapter.
