Who we are
Raymond Sola, president of Cloudland Paintworks, has worked in the residential painting services industry since 1985, after receiving his degree in Industrial Technology and Construction Management from Central Connecticut State University.
Ray has 40 years of experience with painting, wallpaper installation and removal, estimating, customer service, and property maintenance. Having also worked in a local paint store, Ray has extensive knowledge about paints and stains.
In 2004, Ray formed Cloudland Paintworks and brought together seasoned painting professionals and those who were eager to learn about residential painting. And learn they did! Our professionals:
- Routinely participate in conferences and hands-on workshops to learn about new products and how to use them to serve you better
- Are Fine Paints of Europe Certified Painters.
- Are Lead-Safe certified.

Contact us to prepare a proposal for you. You will have the opportunity to review the proposal and make changes if needed. Once you accept the proposal we will get your project scheduled.
Will you require any money before you begin work?
Yes, we require a deposit before we start working on your project. This will help us to purchase the materials we need to do a great job for you. You will also need to select your colors so that the paint will be ready on the day we start work.
What if I want to add to the scope of the project after you start work?
No problem! We will adjust the contract to include the additional work, and let you know additional costs and schedule.
When will the final payment be due?
The final payment will be due upon completion of the project.
What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept payment via check or credit card. (It’s really easy to pay online when we email you the final bill!)
